Ribbon n' Stitches: A Retailer's Dedication to Charity

As many of you know, the Fluffy Wishes Giveaway event was a huge success! This success was greatly due to the awesome sponsors that we had! The sponsor of the Grand prize, which was worth over $200 was Ribbon & Stitches Cloth Diaper Store. I would love to tell you a little more about the awesome mission of this store!

Ribbons & Stitches is a unique Cloth Diaper Store that not only services YOUR cloth diapering needs, but it also serves as a resource for those who can not afford cloth diapers! Let me explain...

Ribbons & Stitches acts like a not-for-profit organization by taking the proceeds it makes in the sales of diapers and accessories to help those in need! Ribbons & Stitches hopes to spread the word that cloth diapering is affordable and that even families without access to a washer and dryer can benefit too.

Ribbons & Stitches currently helps to support 2 Cloth Diaper Charities. I bet you can guess the first one...Fluffy Wishes. The second is Sweet Cheeks. One of the ways that Ribbon & Stitches helps out these charities is through the GREEN RIBBON REWARD program. Here is how the Green Ribbon Program works:
  1. Make a purchase and earn green ribbon reward points. $1 =  1 point
  2. Refer a friend to the website, and on their first purchase, have them put your name or blog in the referral section and you will earn half a point for every $1 purchased
  3. Earn 5 points for every quality review written on any products in the store.
So what happens with all the points???
  • These points can be redeemed towards Gift Certificates AND
  • These points are used to donated to Fluffy Wishes or Sweet Cheeks (by putting the charity name in the referral section)
  • The charities then use the points for items they may need or to replenish their closets
  • When you make a purchase, both YOU and YOUR CHARITY will received points towards FREE goodies!!! It is a WIN-WIN situation!
In addition the Green Ribbon Reward Program there are tons of other perks to shopping at Ribbon & Stitches:
Not only did Ribbon n' Stitches donate the grand prize for the Fluffy Wishes Giveaway, but they have also donated 3 items towards the Flufftastic Summer Giveaway! Ribbon n' Stitches is sponsoring a prize package which includes a Fuzzibunz Hanging Wet bag, a medium size bumkins wet bag, and some smaller sandwich/snack bags. A value of $42! You guys wanted wet bags, and you got them! One winner will take all!! Stay tuned for the Giveaway which starts tomorrow!!

Have you ever heard of Fluffy Wishes or Ribbon n' Stitches before?

Have you ever donated diapers to a Diaper Closet before?

  5. I love Ribbon & Stitches Mission. I think giving people in need cloth diapers, is way more valuable than giving them disposables. I wish someone would have given me cloth way back when I had my first baby at one of the charities that we got diapers from a few times while I was young and struggling with a baby. I sort of feel like the old proverb 'Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.'. Only with diapers. <3

  15. I have heard of ribbons & stitches before, but I've never purchased from them... I have purchased from other diaper companies that donate to diaper closets when purchases are made, and one who donates all of her profits to World Vision. Love these companies who are making a difference for those who want to cloth diaper but can't afford it... also love the rewards and referral program - how cool!!

  20. I have never heard of Fluffy Wishes or Ribbon & stitches before. I am new to cloth diapering and have been doing mostly research on what my options are. With that said, I have not donated to a diaper closet before, I never knew about them until now! I think the Ribbon & Stitches layaway and consignment options are wonderful! We have two under two and are switching to cloth for financial reasons. Cloth diapering will save us more money in the long haul, but is an expensive initial cost, so these options are very appealing and helpful to us and other families in similar situations. It is heartwarming to know that there are companies who are willing to help those in need!
