The "Cloth Diapering World" seems to be rapidly expanding for me. I have just learned about this fascination with goodmama diapers. I am very curious to see what the hype is all about. I have heard of people that are exclusive goodmama users, and others who don't care for them. But, I want to hear your thoughts and opinions as these diapers tend to "draw out the emotions" in everyone.

I never heard of goodmama until I saw your post. I took a look at their website and there is no way I would buy a cover for $40! I'm a newbie to cloth diapering but I have a budget to keep.

DeleteBest advise...avoid the goodmama facebook pages. Too much drama and cattiness from a bunch of grown women. It's mostly counterproductive and actually makes the owner look bad. I've used the diapers before but my little one can pee straight through them so I moved on. I filled out your survey to give you more info. :-)

ReplyDeleteI will not be critiquing the diapers. I am simply going to post the poll results to give people an accurate option of all the rumors/ideas out there. I currently do not have it in my budget to purchase a NIP diaper to critique it myself as I cloth diaper to save money. I will simply be relaying the information collected in the survey. Maybe one day I will do a "diaper review" of the gm diapers, but not for this post. Thanks for stopping by.

DeleteI have used goodmama diapers for a number of years and they are my favorite. The owner is actually a friend of mine and a super sweet person who, despite what rumors might tell you, is a very hard working and ethical business owner. Drama is bound to happen when you get that many women together. I see the same kind of drama on birthing and lactation boards all the time. I think people should try them out and if they work, awesome. If not, move on to something else. There is a reason there is a lot of the hype. These diapers are sooo soft and super cute. People will always have something negative to say, even about something/someone awesome. I wish I had ignored the negative feedback about goodmama when I first heard about them in 2008. I would have tried them sooner and not wasted so much money trying to find the right diaper for us.

DeleteI totally understand that there is drama no matter where large groups of women are. People have to decide what's best for them, and I am trying to take a small sample and get the general opinion. Fact based. Thanks for stopping by.

DeleteThe hype is just that hype! It is all about "look what i have" and "look what i can afford". There are many WAHMs making fitteds that exceed the quality of GMs. I am coming from a 100+ GM stash point of view and 99% were NIP. NOT WORTH THE $$$$$$
