Hi, I'm Julie...and I ride The Wave (#BlogChallenge Day 16)

I. Suck. I started this Summer Blog Challenge off with great intentions, and then life hit. Between blogging, giveaway events, being a wife and mom, I have only posted two times so far. But on a positive note, this will be the third post!

Today's post question asks: fitness guru or couch potato?

This is an easy one for me! I love to work out. LOVE. My college degree is in Exercise Science, and I even worked as an instructor to teach people how to become Fitness Trainers. Exercise has and always will be a huge part of my life. I worked out my entire pregnancy, even on the day I went into labor!! I truly believe that being as fit as I was helped me last for as long as I did during labor...which was...by the way...40 hours!

I try to work out 4-5 times per week. I am in love with The Firm DVD's. They are so easy because:
  1. I can do them in my home = I can look like a nightmare without having to worry.
  2. It provides entertainment for my baby while I jump around on boxes and contraptions like the picture above.
  3. I can check my facebook updates in between exercises.
  4. It's cheap.
  5. I can have the AC on as high as I want.
But in all seriousness, The Firm provides a great total body workout with weight training and cardio. It provides a schedule to keep on track and even lets you supplement with walks, jogs, swims, etc. I have all 5 systems and tons of DVD's that I switch out on a regular basis. I even got hubby doing the power yoga video! I know you are dying for a video of that right? Well I will do you one better...here is a picture in my sports bra, no make-up with my packages of fluff! The fluff was my motivation for getting through the workout. I was so tempted to rip them open, but I restrained myself!!

What about you? Couch potato or Fitness Freak??

  1. Former fitness freak, turned couch potato, seeking to return to former state of fitness. Just started the Insanity workouts, and I love the idea of making fluff my motivation! Maybe for every week, I complete, I put some cash in the "fluff fund"!

  2. Awesome! I used to do p90x when I had just one kid and she took more than 1 nap per day. Now I Have two kids and can't find the time to do it. Or maybe its that I dont have enough motivation to find the time to do it.

  5. Right now, couch potato:( It is so much harder to find the time to work out with little ones underfoot. It seems like there is always something else that needs to be done.

  6. I was wondering if we could do workouts while breast feeding ?
Before delivery even when I was pregnant I used to go to gym on a regular basis, does doing work out lessen your milk production ?
