I don't know about you, but I love tag sales (yard sales or garage sales as some of you may call them). This past weekend, I found some pretty awesome deals! You know me, I love a great deal! Check everything out...
Octopus $5 ($70 on Amazon) This was the biggest shocker of my trip! I really can't believe that this octopus sells for $70! I mean it is nice, but $70? It is basically a big stuffed animal with bean bag legs. As you can see above, each leg has a teether, toy, or other little touchy-feely object. But for $5 bucks I will snag it up for my little guy.
Leap Frog Wheel $2 ($64 on Amazon) I was amazed at this toy. When I saw it lying at the tag sale, I didn't really think much of it, but my mom said to grab it...another good reason to go with an experienced tag saler! It ended up being a super cute wheel that spins and says the ABC's and animals! I love it, and so does little J.T.
Jumper $5 (Retail $30-$40) This is another great buy. This jumper is made by Graco and was in excellent condition. Score.
InStep Stroller/Backpack $15 ($60-$80 Retail) This contraption is awesome. It is actually a stroller that turns into a back carrier. I did some research, and they don't make it anymore because the company went bankrupt because of bad marketing campaigns. It was actually listed for $25 but my bartering mom got them down to $15! I thought this would be great for trips to the airport or a fair! You can wear baby, and then when your back gets tired, you can transfer it down to the stroller. Even comes with storage bin!
Frog Pool $10 ($50 at Walmart) I am going to use this as a pool and then a sandbox when he gets a little older. It is the perfect size pool for a 9 month old baby.
Homedics Noise Machine $1 ($20 Walmart) I have one of these, and little J.T. uses it every night on the ocean setting before he goes to bed! I bought this one to have on hand just in case something happens to it! My back-up!)
Blue Bumbo $5 in box ($39.99) This is the cheapest I have seen a bumbo anywhere! It was barely used in the box!
Do you tag/garage/yard sale?
What has been your best tag sale find?
Those are some sweet scores! I dont yard sale a lot but I do like the go to thrift stores. I have found some great stuff including a brand new bumGenius pocket shell for $.99.
ReplyDeleteWhat??? That is awesome!!!!! I gotta keep my eyes open for cloth diapers!!
DeleteWow, you found some great deals! I'd love that backpack/stroller thing! Very cool. The yard sales around here never have anything great like what you found.
ReplyDeleteAww that stinks:-( We went to an area where my mom grew up and knows the in's and out's of tag sales!
DeleteNice! We found some bikes for the big boys (one was $1, other was $20) and Pokemon cards. Still looking for some other stuff, though (nice umbrella stroller and shopping cart cover).
ReplyDeleteWith our first child expected to arrive in Sept. I have been spending free time shopping online sales (ebay, kijiji) and have found some great savings. My favourite find was a organic baby clothes stash for $40. One item alone in the stash I have seen online for $70 and this item was never used (baby grew too fast!)
ReplyDeleteThose are some amazing finds! I don't garage sale because I find it frustrating to hunt through other people's junk to find the good stuff. I do like to buy used off of local online trading groups though.
