If you have been around Cloth Diapers for any length of time, you have heard of Rockin' Green Laundry Detergent. I have been dying to try this Award Winning Cloth Diaper Friendly detergent ever since a friend told me about it (and not to mention every blogger raves about it too). I was so excited when Rockin' Green agreed to let me sample their detergent in any scent that my little heart desired!! Because my little guy has super sensitive skin, I chose the Bare Naked Babies (unscented and inspired my picture above). Not only can you get an unscented formula, but there are so many other yummy flavors scents it comes in:
- Smashing Watermelons
- Rage Against the Raspberries
- Motley Clean
- Earth, Wind & Orchids
- Lavender Mint Revival
- Red Hot Apple Cider (Holiday)
Are you sensing a theme yet?? Too cute!
1) There are no dyes, phosphates, fillers, enzymes, or optical brighteners (you can see my little guy reading the label)!
2) It comes in 3 different formulas which are customizable for your water type. Be sure to check out the Formula Suggestions and Map below to identify your type of water!
3) You can use it as a regular everyday wash, or as a soak for a deeper clean.
4.) Not only does Rockin' Green make Laundry Detergent, but the also have a full line of other eco-friendly cleaning products such as:
- Funk Rock - for nasty ammonia smells
- Femme Rock - for menstrual pads
- Dog House Rock - for pet bedding and toys
- Other Laundry Accessories
My Thoughts:
I really loved the Bare Naked Babies Hard Rock formula! It worked great with my hard water and left my diapers smelling clean and fresh! I especially loved using the Rockin' Green SOAK instructions which gave my diapers an even deeper clean! My babies super sensitive bottom was rash-free and was not at all irritated by the detergent! I would recommend Rockin' Green to any Cloth Diaper user, or any user looking for a clean and fresh eco-friendly detergent!

ReplyDeleteNice! Let me know which scent you like the best!
DeleteYay... Super awesome review Julie!! RNG is amazing!!
ReplyDeleteJust used their Funk Rock to get rid of ammonia in my diapers. It seems to have worked great. I did the first soak in the Hard Rock for hard water, then did the second soak in the the Funk Rock. Then washed using normal instructoins on the Hard Rock. They seem much better. And there is no scent left in my diapers - we bought the Lavendar.
ReplyDeleteNice! I would love to try the Funk Rock too!! Haven't had an ammonia issues recently!! Love the Hard Rock too! The Lavendar scent seems like it would be nice...especially since the scent isn't left in the diaper!
DeleteI love your use of photo model!! :) Great review!!
ReplyDeleteThank you:) He cooperated well:)

DeleteRockin' Green is awesome! Your son is absolutely adorable!
ReplyDeleteThank you Erika:-)
DeleteI love the smashing watermelons scent!!
ReplyDeleteI really want to try the funk rock because my diapers just aren't getting clean or something. They smell (only when urine saturates them), and I just don't know how to fix it. I tried stripping them and have had no luck.
ReplyDeleteI bought Bare Naked Babies because I always prefer scent free, but got a part bag of RnG with a marshmallow scent that it appears they no longer make(?) and it was just as good!! Nice scent, but didn't seem to cling to the diapers. I'd like to try the Watermelon!
ReplyDeleteI've heard great things about Rockin Green but haven't tried it yet. I love the awesome scents it comes in!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sponsoring the Mothers Day giveaway. Would love to try a cloth-friendly detergent with nice scents!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the smashing watermelon. Great review!
ReplyDeleteFunk rock is the greatest thing ever!
ReplyDeleteI'm using Rockin' green now but I have only used the bare naked babies. I would love to try the other scents! ;)
ReplyDeleteI would love to try the lavendar. I love that scent but I am worried with my sensitive skinned baby that it might cause irriation :( We love our bare naked babies though :)
ReplyDeleteI think I am going to have to give this detergent a try. I'm still not completely satisfied with my current detergent. And I absolutely love the pictures! He is adorable!
ReplyDeleteI am actually also doing a review and giveaway of this Rockin detergent in May for the same event! I chose the Rage Against the Rspberries to try and I love it!
ReplyDeleteWe use Bare Naked Hard Rock for our diapers as well. My daughter has very sensitive skin and we have had no issues using this. I think next time I may try a scent since I have been told there is no scent remaining on items if it is properly rinsed out.
ReplyDeleteI just recently heard of this detergent and I REALLY want to try it! I am hoping I get a free sample with the diapers I just ordered from sweetbottomsbaby.com, if not I am definitely buying some to try! Thanks for the info!
ReplyDeleteI would love to try this and maybe some Funk Rock! Great review!

ReplyDeleteright now im using earth wind and orchids in soft rock but i think i might need hard rock
ReplyDeleteI've used Rockin' Green and a couple other soaps/detergents, but theirs is my favorite by far. I've just recently tried the Funk Rock after my daughter was showing signs of irritation, and it cleared it right up!
ReplyDeleteWe use Rockin Green now, but I got the unscented because I couldn't decide. Love that it works in my new HE washer!
ReplyDeleteI love rockin green! The names are just as fun as the detergent!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the model :] And I love rockin green!
ReplyDeleteI have not tried rockin green yet, when I run out of my current detergent I'd like to try some because I've heard great things! I'd like to try the red hot apple cider scent.
ReplyDeleteI bought the Smashing Watermelons for my CD laundry, but since LO isn't here yet I test drove it on a load of my own things...it smells AWESOME! I hope he isn't super sensitive so I can try out a few different scents once he gets here.
ReplyDeleteI bought the Smashing Watermelons scent and have already test drove it on my own laundry...it smells awesome! I hope LO isn't too sensitive, so I can try different scents, but if he is it's nice to know they have the BNB available, too.
ReplyDeleteI've never used this detergent before, as I make my own, but I plan to use the Funk Rock when the ammonia gets too bad on LO's diapers.
ReplyDeleteI have not tried this yet, but I would love to try the watermelon scent!
ReplyDeleteI would love some Rockin Green Detergent.. I have heard so many good things about this. I like that they have different scents.. and can apply to different water types.. I hope I can win this..
ReplyDeletei'm planning on using Rockin Green when our baby arrives in November. I have a sample, and it smells amazing!!
ReplyDeleteI wish my little guy could handle the scents but we have to stick with bare naked babies with his sensitive skin. I do love the other scents though
ReplyDeleteI've heard a lot about how great Rockin Green is for cloth diapers, but I didn't realize how eco-friendly they are. Thanks for the informative review!
