Before I get to their rash ointment, I want to mention a few things about the company. Taylor House inc. offers all sorts of natural and organic products made locally…wait for it…in Hawaii!!! In addition to their local ingredients, they make all their products in small batches to ensure quality and freshness! I LIKE THE SOUND OF THAT. But there’s more…their products come in recyclable glass bottles or aluminum containers for an added “green” flair. In addition, the names of the products are super cute, such as “Shue Bug” and “Juice Those Wipes” Not to mention their customer service is SPECTACULAR!

My Review of the Diaper Balm/1st Aid Ointment
- 100% natural, organic, vegan, and cloth diaper safe
- Multipurpose-ful: racked feet, sunburns, dry lips, diaper rash, razor burn, eczema, bug bites, newborn’s peeling skin, itchy cradle cap, sores from drippy nose, post partum owies, scrapes, cuts, bruises, minor rashes, hemorrhoids, dry hands, stinky armpits, burns and all that other funky stuff!
- Smells like an all natural blend of yummy oils with a hint of citrus
- Ingredients include: Olive, coconut, macadamia nut oil & sesame seed oil infused in noni, calendula, chamomille, comfrey & rosemary, candelilla wax, St. John’s wort extract, chickweed extract, neem oil, kukui nut oil, vitamin e T-50, Organic Essential oil blend of orange, lavender & tea tree oil
I thought this balm worked wonders on my son’s bum. Occasionally he will get little red dots on his bum, almost like a wet rash. I put a little of this ointment on his bum, and the next morning it was gone , like magic! The best part about this ointment is that it can be used for so many different things. I even used it on my split ends, and dry/chapped hands! One night, I put some of the ointment on my feet and put socks over it…to trap all those awesome ingredients in my feet. When I woke up the next morning, my feet were super soft! Overall, I love this product and would highly recommend it to others because of it’s versatility! It's like killing 15 birds with 1 stone (first aid, diaper rash, cuts, bruises, hair, skin, nails, etc)! The one thing I would like would be a slightly smaller version/container for my diaper bag. I could always get a small jar and transfer some into it. Grab your own jar of this Multipurpose Diaper Balm/1st Aid Ointment (2.0 oz) for only $9.95.
My Review of Juice Those Wipes
- Concentrated All Natural & Organic Vegan Cloth Wipe Solution (24-48 Batches)
- Smells of Orange yummy goodness
- Can also be used like "wet one" wipes for hands and faces
- Comes in recyclable aluminum container
- Can be used in a wipes warmer or spray bottle for on-the-go
- Ingredients include: Chamomille & calendula infused olive oil, poly 20, witch hazel (non-alcohol), Taylor's Liquid Soap, lavender & orange oil, vitamin e, liquid germal plus
- Super Easy: Just add 1-2 tsp. + 32 oz of water + 18-24 wipes
My Thoughts
My favorite part about this wipe solution is the smell! They smell like freshly squeezed oranges or orange juice! I also love that it is a concentrate and makes so much for one batch! A lot of the other wipes solutions I have used in the past only make 8 oz, and I usually end up doubling or tripling the batches! Once you have made your batch, add it to a spray bottle or wipes warmer and you are ready to go! Every time you do a diaper change, the smell will transport you to a tropical island:-) I would love it if this concentrate came with a mini spray bottle, that would make it even easier to use as I had a hard time trying to find a smaller spray bottle. This concentrate is awesome and I will add it to my Stash! You can purchase your own Juice Those Wipes concentrate bottle (9 oz) for only $13.95.
My Review of Sanitize Those Hands
- All Natural and Organic, Vegan formula
- Perfect size for a diaper bag or purse
- Does not smell like your "typical" hand sanitizer, it has a light citrus scent
- Goes on smooth to leave your skin smooth
- Made from recycled aluminum container
- Kills 99.9% of Germs
- Made from local ingredients to Hawaii
- Ingredients: 62% ethanol, macadamia nut oil, lavender & orange oil
- An essential during cold and flu season, especially with a baby:-)
My Thoughts
I have never used anything like this sanitizer. Most hand sanitizers have a nasty smell and leave your hands feeling dry. More importantly, if you use hand sanitizer and then eat food sometimes you get a little taste of the "chemicals." With this spray, there was no nasty smell, and the food was great! I even passed the spray around the table at a restaurant and everyone was so impressed! My family said that this was "the best smelling hand sanitizer" they had ever tried. The fragrance is just perfect. The size is perfect as well. I keep it in my diaper bag at all times! Grab your own Sanitize Those Hands for just $5.49 for a 2.7 oz bottle.
Be sure to follow The Balm on Facebook and Twitter because they will be sponsoring a few giveaways in the NEAR future:-)
Have you ever tried any of "the Balm" products before?
If you have, which ones? If you haven't, what would you like to try the most?
(The Balm provided me with these products in exchange for my review of their products. All of the opinions are my own. Thanks for reading!)

ReplyDeleteI have heard about The Balm products (knew they were made in Hawaii because we used to live there and had a friend that used them!) I love that they are natural and that they are safe for cloth diapers. We currently use coconut oil and Lanolin on baby's bottom is necessary, but they aren't good for cuts, scrapes, hair, etc.! It would be great to get to try out the hand sanitizer, too. Because I have yet to find one that I actually like the smell of or the feel after it dries.
