NOW TO THE INTERVIEW.....
Did you always know that you wanted to Cloth Diaper your Children or use Cloth Diapers?
Cloth diapering, for me, allows me to save money and be more environmentally friendly. It was something I thought of before we ever decided to have children.
My mom cloth diapered my sisters and me, but I’m sure glad it’s come a long way since! It was actually my twin sister who introduced me to cloth diapers.
Wahmies one-size with snaps in pink – I came home from a local retailer and my husband was horrified because he wanted a boy! We actually had a boy, but the Wahmies is still one I love – the minky lining still looks brand new after more than 2 years of use!
That’s a tough one! There’s a lot of brands I wish I’d discovered earlier, but I don’t have just one favorite! One of my newest favorites is Mother-Ease’s Wizard Uno. It’s expensive, but after stuffing pockets for a couple of years, I’m always so happy when this one comes up in my rotation.
Hands down – our diaper sprayer! My husband wouldn’t have stuck with cloth diapers if it hadn’t been for the sprayer!
Snaps or Aplix?
Snaps. I like Velcro, but my dear pet ferret has this strange habit of chewing on Velcro. He steals diaper covers out of the laundry basket before we can get them folded! (ha ha ha...this wins the prize for most unique reason not to use aplix!)
I’m designing my website as a resource for parents who are new to or thinking of using cloth diapers.
I explored the idea of blogging for a few months, but then discovered a fantastic program that provides me with all the tools I need to build a website business – no coding necessary! I work full time, but wanted to start my own business. For me, a website is something I can run on your own time (evenings and weekends).
Future goals for Thinking About Cloth Diapers?
I’m working towards being one of the top cloth diaper resource sites for new and expecting parents who are considering cloth diapers. Today, there’s a lot of manufacturers and retailers that publish cloth diaper information, but there’s not many that provide a complete, easy-to-navigate site dedicated to cloth diaper information. I want to fill that void.
We know that new parents are busy parents, so our information site has been designed with easy navigation to help you find out more about cloth diapers. Our website is packed with research and helpful articles, and even tutorials so you can make your own cloth diaper accessories!
Scrapbooking, sewing, and having fun with my little boy!
What a great resource. We used cloth diapers with my son & this would have really been handy then.
ReplyDeleteI have been cloth diapering for over 4 years and love it! My favorite fluff are pocket diapers with snaps!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a need for cloth diapers but I think that those who do use them deserve a lot of respect for the extra time and energy it takes as opposed to use and throw out kind. Plus I am sure it has to be healthier then ones made from plastic and chemicals.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great website!!
ReplyDeleteI have some friends that will really enjoy this info.
ReplyDeleteI am excite to share this with some of my cloth diaper friends! I wish I had more support when my children were in diapers to do this. Great post!
ReplyDeleteMy kids have been out of diapers for years. Today's cloth diapers are so much more superior to the ones that I used.

Great interview! I wish I knew more about cloth diapers when my baby was still in them.
ReplyDeleteThere is so much "information" out their about cloth diapering. It can be overwhelming! When I started out, I spent hours scouring through reviews, articles, etc to try to get a balanced overview of what fluff is about. I think having a one-stop resource for newbies considering the idea is a great one. And having it be truthful and balanced will go a long way. Readers can tell the difference between an objective look at the benefits (which are substantial, and do sell themselves!), and an advocacy article which definitely has a large bias.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had found this when I was first thinking of cloth diapers but I am so glad I have found it now!
ReplyDeletesnaps are my fav too. I always forget to close the velcro and everything in the laundry comes out stuck together.
ReplyDeleteGreat interview and she has a great site! I wish I had seen this sooner, it would have made my research go a lot faster! But I have a lot of friends who are asking me about cloth, I will definitely be pointing them toward thinkingaboutcloth.com, thanks for the info!
ReplyDeleteHow cool! I am recommending this site to my brother and sister-in-law -- she is currently trying to convince my brother to use cloth diapers when their little one is born :)
ReplyDeleteI went to the thinkingaboutclothdiapers.com and left a message on their facebook.. :)
ReplyDeleteI visited the site and this is an awesome resource for those mamas that are thinking about cloth diapering but are overwhelmed with all the information out there!
