Fluffy Sponsor Spotlight: Greenie Beanie Bottoms

Greenie Beanie Bottoms is an awesome Cloth Diapering store that I discovered a couple of weeks ago! They have so many great Cloth Diapering products and accessories! I am so excited to be working with Greenie Beanie Bottoms for an upcoming Giveaway Event (Hint Hint). There are so many great things about their store, but I think the best thing is that there is FREE SHIPPING on ALL ORDERS!! This is such a great deal because, to be honest, I will not buy diapers if I have to pay shipping on them! Yes, I am cheap!

Take a few minutes to see the interview I did with the owner of Greenie Beanie Bottoms, she was so gracious to answer all of my questions! Be sure to check in with Greenie Beanie Bottoms as they often offer specials and coupon codes!

Be sure to check out their Blog, Facebook Page, and Twitter! Oh wait...did I mention that they have a Cloth Wipes Giveway on their blog right now too? You know me and cloth wipes lately! Go HERE to enter!

Did you always know that you wanted to Cloth Diaper your Children?
I didn't really think about the specifics until having children was in my immediate future, but I definitely knew by my early 20s I wanted to use cloth. I was a bit of a n enviro-maniac and cloth diapers just made sense.

How did you first get involved in Cloth Diapering or Learn about it?
I watched my family members cloth diaper. It was never strange to me. Cloth was still pretty common in the late 70s and early 80s so I often used prefolds and rubber pants when changing my cousins. There were even some pocket diapers on the market back then, but you could only order them in catalogs so few people knew of them. The internet has changed the world of cloth, much like everything else! When I became pregnant with my first child, I started browsing Fuzzibunz on Amazon, which lead to random Google searches. Once I saw what was available for modern cloth diapering, I was hooked.

What was the first diaper you purchased?
The original Thirsties All-in-One. I like their new Duos better though.

Your Favorite Cloth Diaper?
Funny enough, I am on a flats kick. With two kids currently in diapers, I like to go on a pocket diaper vacation and just use flats for a week here and there. No stuffing required.

Essential (Must-Have) Cloth Diaper Accessory?
Wipes! I must have 70 wipes. We use them for everything. You can never have too many when it comes to diaper changes, runny noses and spills.

Snaps or Aplix?
I'll always be a snaps gal.

How did you come up with the name Greenie Beanie Bottoms for your store?
I spent months going over names and looking to see if the domains were too similar to other stores. I knew I wanted "green" in there somewhere. The rest kind of just took root while brainstorming. I wish I had a cute story for the name.

What made you want to start your own store/business?
I always wanted my own business, but couldn't figure out what to do specifically. I tried out a couple routes in my 20s, but none of them stuck. I decided since a small business is so much work, it better be something I know and love. We started out tiny (still are!) and hope to grow in the future.

Future goals for Green Beanie Bottoms?
We are in the process of moving to a new store platform right now, so hopefully we will have much more to offer customers soon. We hope to add more product lines in the upcoming years as we aquire more space. Some day soon we want to be a one stop shop.

10) Most unique feature of Green Beanie Bottoms?
Free shipping on any order no matter how small! No one wants to pay $5 on shipping on a Snappi and I really didn't want to charge it either. Free shipping is something more important to me than our bottom line.

What do you like to do in your spare time (not cloth diaper related)?
I love exploring around town. I pack the stroller for a day trip and walk for hours. I love strollers. They're like  giant purses with wheels, but no one thinks you're crazy if you have a giant stroller. Well, so long as you have an actual baby somewhere in it.
